We are working HARD to get caught up with our sprinkler start-ups as well as some major repairs on our agenda. We have had to replace several backflow preventers already this year, and we have several more coming up including a heavy duty backflow preventer at a local assisted living center.
Today we have a major electrical issue we have to take care of in the Columbia Village area, so while my assistant is working on that I will be doing sprinkler start-ups and backflow tests in the 83716. Once the electrical work is completed we will head over to the 83705 zip code to attempt some sprinkler start-ups as well as we work on installing the 2" Reduced Pressure Principal Backflow Preventer at the issue living center. All the materials have arrived exdept for the backflow preventer itself, but it is supposed to arrive later today.
Thursday we have a water heater to replace and then will begin sprinkler start-ups in Kuna, Star, Nampa, and Caldwell. Where we will be Friday for sprinkler start-ups has not been determined yet, but should know by Thursday night.
Package "B" seems to be our most popular sprinkler start-up choice, so keep in mind that those take longer to do than just turning on the water.
Any backflow preventers we find during our visit that have an outdated test tag, or have not been tagged at all will be reported to the homeowner with an opportunity to correct the issue before the info is submitted to the authority having jurisdiction. We will be happy to take the time to do a backflow test while we are at the property.
I will post again on Thursday with an update on how Wednesday went, and what is expected on Thursday.
