Yesterday went pretty smooth tying up some loose ends, and getting a few start-ups complete. We have tied up enough of our semi-emergency jobs that for a time we can concentrate mostly on actual start-ups until a new wave of emergencies come forth. Most people that turn on their own water have done so by now, so that is the time we hear about serious issues. Those will slack off before long.
I won’t know until around 7:00 a.m. this morning if my wife will be released today from the hospital. She had a rough time yesterday when her blood pressure dropped to 70/50 and almost passed out. I went to see her after I finished up work, and she was doing much better. If she is to be released, then I won’t be able to go out on any calls for the day because I will need to take her to a few places for other appointments regarding the surgery. While at home I can also catch up on backflow test reports I need to send out. If they keep her one more day I will team up with Jacob for the day. My only concern about her surgery is she will need to have someone with her all day for a while, which will be tough for me since I need to be working. If I could find 1 or 2 more people to help with the workload that would be ideal for this situation. I may have to go out when Jacob needs help on a job and then return home and work on paperwork until he needs me on another job. At least then I will be around for a lot of the day in case she needs something.
Jacob will be in Eagle today. There are only 9 stops to make in the entire city, so he may be able to get back to Meridian to catch up on some of those. Friday the plan is to be in Canyon county. It is unlikely we can finish all in Canyon county in one day, but we should be able to make a large dent. We can pick up where we left off on Monday and then head to other areas. The significant point about Canyon county is it will be the last of the areas we haven’t been to yet so can then start on another pass around the valley.
I am not posting a route for today because Jacob should be able to get to all of Eagle in one day as long as it all goes smoothly.
