I had someone text me today and say we offer horrible customer service because he was never called to set up an appointment to get his sprinklers turned on and he was tired of waiting. (By the way, he signed up two days ago.) He also said that he was surprised I was still in business with no communication skills whatsoever and that we have no interest in making money. I mentioned this to one of our long-time customers who got a good laugh and said, “Sounds like the actual issue is he has no reading skills.” Nope, no interest in making money. That is why we keep growing every year…….
I am sad to say we had our first non-cancellation yesterday that I invoiced. That is after more than half of our service calls have already been made, which is a good thing. That means people are paying more attention to what they read, or are reading more.
Jacob cleaned up all in the 83709 yesterday except for three where the water wasn’t on yet. Bummer, that means another trip, but I am sure we will have more by the time we circle around again. I managed to complete all the backflow tests on my list except for one that will need parts, and all the Package A and C turn-ons I had for the day. So, all in all, it was a good day.
Jacob will be working in Kuna today after he ties up two quick loose ends in Meridian. I will be taking on a few backflow tests in Meridian and then hitting the road for Packages A and C in Boise, and then on Friday the same thing in Eagle, Star, and Nampa.
Next week we are going to add lawn aerations to the mix for whichever zip codes we are working that day on sprinkler start-ups. We are going to team up on the lawn aeration at first until we can tell how this brand new machine does. the other one we have is liking riding a bull in the Idaho Stampede which is why we left them all to Jesse last year.
