Jesse and I will be together for a while in Avimor this morning to take care of 11 start-ups only with backflow test. I figure doubling up on them today will save some time so we can get back to civilization, so to speak. Our cell phones do not work up there, so at least I won’t be bombarded with texts in the morning. Afterwards Jesse will be back in Nampa, Star, Caldwell, etc., to get to the areas he couldn’t get to today because of repairs that took longer than expected.
I will continue getting to backflow tests, and any Package “A”s or “C” I find along my way. I will be doing the same on Saturday and Sunday this week. Jesse will be on overtime by noon at the latest, so will have him finish the day, but give him the weekend off to avoid too much overtime. No overtime for me. I work 15 hour days as it is if I include the service calls and the paperwork that I stay up for all hours to finish.
I am getting an overload of texts during the day, and most of them come in during the first half of the day. It wouldn’t be so bad, except the majority of them are questions that are already answered on our site or in our terms of service. I designed it that way for good reason. I really don’t have time for a ton of texts and phone calls. I lost SIX HOURS of time I could have spent on service calls yesterday alone. For that reason, I will not be answering texts during the day unless I feel it is an emergency. General questions can refer to our site and terms of service, or ask and not expect an answer until the end of the day, which is usually quite late before I get back into my office.
