Sprinkler Start-Ups Fifth Week Recap

We have created a Sprinkler Start-Up Stats for our website.  This is the same stats page we use in the office to see where we stand on start-ups and will update in real-time as data is changed.  There are some on the stats page that are start-ups but will require a major repair before the system can be turned on, and those will have to wait until we get caught up on just the basic start-ups. The stats are on the same page where we update our sprinkler blowouts in the fall and can be located here: Sprinkler Start-Up Stats for 2021

As you know, last week was slow-going since Jacob was gone for three days in Oregon for a funeral. Last Monday we replaced three backflow preventers, all PVB’s, and I worked on sprinkler start-ups Tuesday-Thursday, and then Jacob I replaced three more backflow preventers on Friday.  This time one RP and two PVB’s.  We then knocked out several more sprinkler start-ups.  We didn’t get to all of the ones we wanted to on Friday, so we actually finished them up on Saturday in about 4 hours.

This coming week will be extremely busy.  We are going to intermix sprinkler start-ups with other repairs this week that was scheduled before we began start-ups. Lock changes, dishwasher installation, main & drain repairs, etc.  We are still trying to figure out how to work in lawn aerations as well.  I haven’t had the time to do my own aeration yet, and have turned on my sprinkler system but haven’t had time to run through the zones to make sure everything is working properly.

Even after start-ups we will have a full plate.  There are several serious sprinkler system repairs that we need to take care of.  I guess I shouldn’t say after start-ups because as weird as it sounds, we will get start-ups requests all summer long.  They will slow WAY down though, as they have already slowed.

I will post our route for tomorrow at midnight, and I appreciate everyone’s patience as we scramble to get everyone taken care of.

It appears that the “Sprinkler Startup Stats” link above is actually pointing to the Friday May 7th update instead. I wasn’t able to find the Startup Stats page, even using the search. Just thought you’d like to know.
