Sprinkler Blowouts Still In Boise

We were down one technician yesterday, so we didn’t get as much accomplished as we wanted to, but all techs will be in business today.

We are going to finish the remainder of the Boise 83704 today as well as have one machine in the Boise 83703.  There are only 24 in the 83703, so unless there are several complications, we should be able to finish that area from what we have on our route for today.

The Boise 83702 will be moved to another day, so if you are in that zip code keep an eye on our calendar for updates.

We are still working primarily in zip codes that are on city water, wells, or pumps.  Because of the very early in the season low temperatures, I highly recommend that you follow the instructions given on our website on how to pre-winterize backflow preventers sand pumps.  It’s a relatively simple thing to do, and it could save you a good chunk of money.

Can you attach the link for the instructions on how to pre-winterize backflow preventer sand pumps? I have searched your site and can’t find it. Thanks!

The link to that page is on several different pages including our backflow prventer page. Here is the direct link: https://www.treasurevalleyrepairs.com/backflow-pre-winterization.html

Please make sure my dog is not let out if I know the date I’ll put her in a crate.

Hi Toni, we will let you know when we will be in your area and will take good care to make sure your dog doesn’t take off on a high adventure if it is out and about in the back yard.

My home is located in the Canterbury Commons subdivision, 83642. You provide instructions to winterize the backflow preventer, but we just purchased our home here in June and we don’t know if we have a backflow preventer. We have 2 irrigation covers in our backyard, would one of them contain this backflow preventer?

You would only have a backflow preventer if you used city water for your sprinkler system. Irrigation systems are not required to have them unless it is a dual system which is not legal in Meridian.
