Sprinkler Blowouts In Part Of Garden City Today

We completed all of our current list as of early yesterday morning for sprinkler blowouts in the Boise 83712.  That area is usually done last on our first swing through the valley because many of my regulars in that area like to wait until Novemer to have their sprinklers blown out because of fertilizing, or whatever else they want to do.  I hate yard work, so know very little about the upkeep other than mowing and trimming……

The good news is with the Boise 83712 gone through yesterday, we have finally gotten through each zip code at least once.  Now we work another round through the valley and spending more time in the areas with the most requests.  We will get to all requests in all areas, but need to concentrate a little in a few primary areas where we have the most activity.  I am working on a schedule to do just that, but do not quite have it ready to post yet.  Our primary areas in Boise are the 83709 and 83713, and all of Meridian, and Garden City.  Those areas make up 53% of our total sprinkler blowout requests.

We are going to work part of Garden City today.  I say part of, because there are more in Garden City than we can cover in one day.  We should be able to accomplish about half of our current Garden City list today under optimum circumstances.  We will be sending text alerts to those we hope to visit today.  The area we will be working in will be North of State Street to Hill Road, and the subdivision near Dry Creek Cemetary off Horseshoe Bend Road.  Our South border for the day will be Collister Road.  We will be starting on Palisades Way, working south, and ending our day trip on Edenburgh Place.

On another note, those who have kept up with us all season know I was having issues with a brand new motorized hose reel that started giving me problems by throwing the chain on the very first day out.  I found the cause of the problem, which slowed it down while waiting on a new reel, but would still throw the chain a few times a day.  Yesterday it threw the chain on every stop I made in the Boise 83712.  I finally received a new reel and got it mounted late last night, ( I never sleep) and did some redesigning of my own to hopefully eliminate the problem I had before.  It is a design problem with the reel that I fixed for around $2.00 in parts.  Made the manufacturer aware as well to circumvent this happening to anyone else.

As per usual, leave gates accessible, valve boxes brushed off so we can find them, (my x-ray vision is on the fritz), timer access if valve box location is unknown, and if writing a check, have it made out to "The Maintenance Shop."  Oh, and before I forget, if you wish to cancel, send us an email to avoid the $25 non-cancellation fee as agreed to in the Terms of Service, if we show up at your property.

Just wondering if we have to be home for you to blow out our sprinklers? I read that you have done all areas once and we are in Garden City, 83714.

Tim, you don’t have to be home at the time of the sprinkler blowout. In fact, 75% of our customers are not home because they work the same hours I do. Many will leave payments at the property, give me a garage code, hide the key to the gate, etc.
