I won’t go into all the details, but it turns out that we have a sprinkler blowout competitor that reads our blog posts. I don’t know whether to be flattered, or uneasy, or…… Kinda weird have a sprinkler blowout stalker. Hi Kurt, we should talk sometime after blowouts are over and have a meeting of the minds, perhaps.
Our calendar schedule is totally useless at the moment while we try and organize everything for losing a day in Star with one of our machines. Worst case scenario it would push everyone back a day or so. Some areas have to have days added anyway because when we first put the calendar together there weren’t as many in some of the zip code areas. We will need more than one day now in Caldwell, Nampa, etc., and the Boise 83709 and Meridian zip codes will need more time alloted as well. The Boise 83709 and Meridian zip codes are nearly half of all the blowout requests we receive.
Jesse and Jacob will work and finish Star today unless they run into some they can’t do because of locked gates, hidden valve boxes, etc. I will continue in Meridian 83646 today.
What I am thinking of doing is taking care of all the areas other than the Boise 83709 and all of Meridian, and then shutting them down so we can concentrate only in those three areas for the rest of the season. What are your thoughts on that?
Here is Jesse and Jacob’s route for today. Jacob will start at the top of the list and Jesse will start at the bottom and work up. Afterwards there are a few in Kuna that need finished up.

So, if you leave Boise 83709 until the end of season, when approximately is that? End of November, early December?
We aren’t leaving it until that late. In fact, we will be starting in the 83709 tomorrow for several days, and then split it up again and make return trips.
My thought is, you do what works best and makes the most common sense. Ass long as you don’t forget me.
Thank you for your thoughts. I never forget anyone
Sorry for the ass. AS long
I just scheduled our blowout today in 83709 (S. Cole Rd). Do we need to be home for the blowout? If so is will need to k ow when so I can schedule off from work. If not, where can I leave $$.
You don’t need to be home providing we have access to all valve boxes and they can be located. (Not covered up with bark, leaves, gravel, dirt, dog houses, etc. You can leave cash or a check or can pay online when we send you an invoice to your email.
83714 anytime soon?
Watching our calendar?
Hi there! I am loving the blog. It’s cool to watch your journey. I wanted to ask if you knew when you anticipate you’ll be in the 83686 (Nampa) area?
Very soon. Check out our calendar.
When will we know that our sprinklers have been done? I live in Avimor.
When you get an invoice in your email. Sorry yours didn’t get done when we were up there a few weeks ago. It is VERY important to put the correct info down when you sign up since our system is automated. No human interaction with the data until it is routed, so if incorrect information is added we don’t always catch it. The important thing is it is straightened out now, so you are on our list for our next trip to Avimor.
Will meridian be done by next week? The cold weather coming up makes me nervous
Not likely all of it. We have 243 in the 83646 and 145 remaining in the 83642. Cold weather is coming, but it won’t affect your underground sprinkler system. If you have a backflow ABOVE ground you can easily winterize it with the information posted on our site. If it is below ground you have nothing to worry about. I don’t even blow my own system out until Thanksgiving because it is my only day off. I did a ground temperature reading this morning and it was 50 degrees. Far above freezing. It can take to mid-December to get cold enough to freeze pipes that are 6″-8″ underground.
Am I the only one that can’t locate the calendar on this site that we are supposed to be referring to?
It’s not on this blog. It is on our site. The link is on several pages.
Is 83642 getting back on the schedule? If so, when?
Nope. Never going to the 83642 again….. Of course we are going back. Several times in fact!
We are in Meridian 83646 and we are leaving tomorrow for Rexburg as my mother is passing away. When do you think you will be over here.
Barbara
Can’t give you a date until the night before because I don’t know until I start routing the next batch
I prepaid in August for the priority blowout and have not been done yet. Though I live in 83646, I don’t have pressurized irrigation and have an above ground backflow. Please let me know if you aren’t coming so I can get on someone else’s list ASAP.
Sorry, I thought you were on pressurized irrigation. We will get you taken care of.
Same, pre paid, 83646, above ground backflow, on city water. Was excited to be ‘priority’. I understand you are very busy but I am feeling a little misled by the ‘priority’ agreement.
Sorry, we got behind because of several areas leaving irrigation water running longer
