Important Update
Challis will be out ill today, so we will have to postpone his route in the 83705 until Thursday. Sorry for the inconvenience.
End Of Update
Sprinkler blowouts didn’t go well today at all. The guys ran into SEVERAL systems that were having problems, and Kelly was the only one able to ALMOST finish his route. He had less than the other two, but he also ran into fewer problems. It took him an hour passed dark to finish when he should have been finished by around 3 p.m. That being said, I had to make some adjustments to our calendar and put Jesse on the ones in the Meridian 83642 that were on our route and missed yesterday. Once he finishes his route, there will only be a few left and the 83642 will be complete. If you are in the remaining 83642 watch our calendar for when we will return.
As we approach our last 6-7 working days it can drag on a few extra days just because of all the ones we couldn’t do for whatever reason the last time we were there tend to go toward the end. Since those are our “problem children”, additional work may be necessary. We put them toward the end because we don’t want to hold up other systems from being completed while we work on the problem ones.
Here are our routes for today: (Keep in mind this won’t totally complete these zip codes, but it will be really close and we will finish on our next pass) Watch our calendar!

I am on the schedule for tomorrow 12/01, but I am considering cancelation. I am concerned it is already too late. What if there is already ice in any of my sprinkler lines? It is likely to cause more issues than not blowing them out at all. What are your thoughts on this. I don’t believe I have ever had the sprinklers blown out this late in the year.
Thanks
Jason
Did you see the picture I posted on Facebook showing a blowout in Kuna with 3 inches of snow on the ground? As I have said, air temperature and ground temperature are two different things. Normal sprinkler lines are buried deeper than the freezing level at this point, and our compressor pushes warm air through the lines. Have you read any of our posts? Have you followed our pre-winterization procedures? I hope it is okay, but the backflow you have is illegal anyway and due for an upgrade.
You are more than welcome to cancel, but I guarantee you won’t get anyone to come out today and we will be there tomorrow 12/1. It would have been today had Challis not gotten ill. The guys work 12-14 hours a day on blowouts, and it takes its toll.
Steve,
I’m hoping my original submission back in early Octoberish did get submitted. It’s been so long that I don’t remember if I got the submission accepted email back or not. When I go back to the blowout form, all of the text that I had put in is still in there, but I’m not sure if that’s normal for Google Forms. You guys were on my street (N Beaham Ave) on 10/25, but my house was not done, so I’m in a bit of a panic. In an earlier blog you also mentioned that you emailed everyone that was left, and I never got that, which further prompted my panic. I’m hoping my house will be one of the ones in these last few days, but I’m worried that my form never actually did get submitted originally.
Thanks,
Steven
Steve, thanks for writing. We never received your original request. Aren’t you the one that lives in Gus’s old house? Text me at (208) 713-3170 first thing in the morning and I will get back to you and make sure you are taken care of.
