Jesse had to go to the hospital Emergency Room Wednesday afternoon, and Brian had a doctor’s appointment regarding his injured ribs, so neither of their routes was completed. Jesse and Brian will pick up where they left off yesterday, with some added stops.
It is taking longer to do the blowouts now because there are a number of people not paying attention to all the info we have given about draining their above-ground backflows. A customer told me yesterday that she didn’t even know anything about doing so until yesterday after her assembly had already frozen. That’s interesting considering I put a link in the terms of service on where to go to get that information and she signed up two weeks ago. (Shaking head…)
Sprinkler blowouts are like everyone in the valley ordering a pizza on Superbowl Sunday at the same time. How long do you think it would take you to get your pizza? Now imagine you go to the best and busiest place in town for that pizza, that has only 4 locations in the valley. The only difference with this analogy is there are a lot more pizza places in town than there are qualified blowout technicians. I say “qualified” because we do a LOT of work in the Spring and Summer months from systems that weren’t blown out correctly and the customer can’t find the person/company that did it. There are a lot of “fly by night” people out there who know there is a demand, so they jump on the wagon to make some really good cash and then disappear, never to be heard from again. I am pretty sure we have been doing them longer than anyone else in the valley, (27 years) and I know we have done more than anyone else in the entire state. (50,000+)
