IMPORTANT
Trevor Dukes is no longer working for us in any capacity. He quit about 10 minutes before he was about to be fired, so I guess that makes it a mutual split. The way he went about it was not cool, though. He pulled in front of a customer’s house and when the owner saw him drive up he opened up his gate and garage to get ready and Trevor just drove off with the customer literally chasing him down the street…….
We removed all of Trevor’s credentials right away, but he never had access to our master list anyway. He only had access to the daily route worksheet which has been denied as well.
We aren’t sure what happened to Trevor, because he was an excellent technician last year, but I think he has been affected from when he was shot in the face last December for those who remember…
We wish him well wherever life takes him.
Now Hiring!
That being said, we are now looking for another person we can train to finish blowouts this season which, based on the number of requests coming in each day will run to at least the day before Thanksgiving. Any blowouts we have to do after that can generally be done by one person which would be Jesse. The new technician would need a vehicle that can pull a compressor, a cell phone, (android preferred, but iPhones will work in a pinch), and obviously a valid license and good driving record. Compensation is $20 per hour plus all the overtime they want, and possible fuel allowance. (Technicians rarely travel more than 12 miles a day once they get to the beginning of their route) If you know of anyone just drop me a note here in the comments or text me at (208) 713-3170.
ROUTING
Jerry will be the only one working today, and we are having him work the Boise 83703 and 83705 reaching only the customers that were missed on Trevor’s route on Friday. We will get back to the 83705 soon after we clean up some other areas, especially Meridian and the Boise 93709 which now contains half of our blowout list at the time of this writing. Depending on what we see in cancellations on his current route, Jerry might be able to get to some others in the 83705 but it would be without notice. Of course, everyone is reading this blog, right?
Here is the route for today:

I will not be home when you come to my address zip 83704..Can you still blow out my sprinklers?
Most definitely, Carol. As long as we have access to your entire yard and can find all the valve boxes and main point to hook up you don’t need to be there. If some or all valves can’t be found then we would need timer access. A LOT of our customers are not home during the day because they work the same hours we do which is understandable.
I am on Camas Street and was on tap for Trevor to do my blowout the day he quit. I was told yesterday you would be here today. It is 5 o’clock and still no show. What is going on?
Yours was done today and paid for by check. Keep in mind, although we don’t work until midnight, we are known to work up to when it gets dark and sometimes even later. Our day doesn’t end at 5 p.m. like normal jobs. Nothing about sprinkler blowouts is normal.

Will you be doing this or should I look for someone else?
You sign up. We do. Can’t be more simpler than that.
Hi Steve…are you able to verify my submission for a blowout made it? Address on Summerfield Way 83646. The request was from a couple weeks ago for after Oct 15…I started the request one day…left the screen open…and finished the next…not sure if that created an error.
Yes, we have your request
Wow, sorry to hear about Trevor. It is always tough to lose someone in that capacity, but with what happened with him last year you are right maybe he just wanted to pursue something different or just needed some time away from the job. Keep up the good work with the sprinkler winterizing!
Thanks, Josh. I am sure there is some PTSD to blame. He was an army combat medic. He is used to working on a lot of war trauma. It is totally different when you are the victim. We will always wish him the best.
