Sprinkler Blowouts For Saturday, November 16, 2019

Even with two of us being sick, we still managed to get 30 sprinkler blowouts completed today.  I did the two in Emmett and Homedale and it about did me in.  Fortunately, they weren’t difficult blowouts and I didn’t have to drag the hose very far.  It took about all the energy I had to do those.  Jesse is the only one not sick (yet), and he was able to take out 25 on his own.  Jacob took did 3 before he caved.  The good news is he is getting better, but I am not to that point yet.

There are about 15 to finish in the 83713 which I hope to get Jesse on today, while Jacob and I if we are up to it work for a while in Garden City.  We do have a funeral of a family member this afternoon, so we aren’t sure at this point who will be working the entire day if any.  I really don’t want to take this crud I have to other family members, but if I am still feeling like crap I probably won’t be working anyway.

At least the weather is holding up quite well.  The ground temperature this morning was 47 degrees, so nowhere near freezing, which means we still have plenty of time.  We are now two-thirds complete this season, and about 280 sprinkler blowouts completed ahead of last year on this date.

Thanks Mike. This really stinks! The FIRST time in 22 years I have been sick during sprinkler blowouts. I got sick earlier in the year which was the first time I had been sick for 4 years. It all those onions and garlic I eat. 🙂 I was all set for blowouts this morning before the funeral I needed to attend, and only pulled off one and almost collapsed. I didn’t even end up going to the funeral. Fortunately, Jacob put in a full day in Garden City, and Jesse a half-day in the 83713.

Hi, Kathie. Sorry, I didn’t see your comment earlier. This sickness better not take me 3 weeks to get over. I have been coughing so much that I now have laryngitis. My techs are surely loving that. I can’t give orders without texting them. 🙂

I have you set for the first day of our next trip to the 83709 which is supposed to be on Monday.
