So, as per normal at least one time a year someone files a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against us because we sent them a non-cancellation invoice. This is a total waste of time because the BBB has no legal jurisdiction, so no matter the outcome this person will still owe the money and we will go after them. We have to, because if we don’t follow our own terms then they become null and void for all. I already know what the outcome will be. I send the BBB a copy of the form the customer filled out, a screenshot showing the text sent with the option to cancel, etc. They review the info, send the customer the same info with my response and then close the complaint. It’s the same thing every time. It wastes time I don’t have, and I am sure the BBB could find better things to do besides dealing with bogus complaints……
We are currently about 83% complete with our current list. We will be shutting down to new requests at the latest at the end of next week, but it could be sooner so we can concentrate on what we currently have. My wife doesn’t like us going past Thanksgiving, but we may have to for a few days anyway. I try to “save the world” so to speak and take care of as many as we can because when it gets this late in the season a lot of new requests are from customers who just purchased a house and found out the sprinklers hadn’t been blown out, or the company they were using bailed on them.
Trevor wants some more overtime, so he will be working today in the 83713. We will also be in that zip code again on Monday, and depending on how it goes, part of Tuesday.
