Saturday was a pretty good day for sprinkler blowouts. We managed to get all that were shown in the image posted except for one on Lynnwood because although we found the main shut-off and the anti-siphon device, there was no place to connect to blow it out. We were actually able to get 3 more sprinkler blowouts finished that weren’t shown in the area map.
Today we are working two sections of the Meridian 83642. The first section is mostly city water, so want to tend to them first. Backflows and vacuum breakers can’t handle really cold temperatures as well as irrigation systems can, especially if customers do not prepare them as I posted before on protecting them from freezing while waiting for a sprinkler blowout. I believe that after them, except for new ones that come in, the remainder of the zip code left to do is all on irrigation.
Also, a reminder that I will not be working Monday, November 9, as explained in a previous post. We will resume in the Meridian 83642 on Tuesday, and hopefully finish them up. If we leave any, they will be the very newest requests. Of course they will be picked up the next time around. We will be heading over to the Boise 83709 zip code on Wednesday.
Incidentally, if there is daylight left when we finish the areas shown below, we will continue working in the Victory Road area.
