Several people have texted me wanting to know the status of “Purple Rain” and if she is down for the count, or just needs some TLC to get back out on the road again. I find it interesting that no one has asked about the condition of the driver, but I can let you know he came out unscathed. I can’t elaborate in a public forum on the status of “Purple Rain” at this time other than to say there are some mechanical and cosmetic repairs that need to be taken care of before she is road-worthy again. We are in need of someone to run “Purple Rain” when she is ready.
Every day we fight daylight as it gets darker as the days go on. Once the time changes and it gets dark by 5 p.m., that really creates an issue with us getting our jobs completed for the day. That being said, the guys are known to work in the dark as long as they can see by flashlight setting up and working the valves.
